Purple Rhombus to Fly WASP Aircraft at Technology Readiness Experimentation T-REX 24-2

Camp Atterbury, Indiana, USA — Purple Rhombus LLC announced their involvement in the Technology Readiness Experimentation T-REX 24-2, sponsored by the Department of Defense (DOD), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUS(R&E)), and Indiana National Guard. Purple Rhombus will display WASP1 and WASP2 UAS and perform live flight demonstrations.

"T-REX is a critical component of the experimentation campaign being executed through the Rapid Defense Experimentation Reserve (RDER) program. RDER was envisioned in FY22 (funded in FY23) to help accelerate promising new prototypes into experimentation campaigns that would build the 'body of evidence' to enable accelerated fielding. It focuses on joint and multi-domain kill chains based on Combatant Command priority gaps. In support of RDER, T-REX was developed to enable technical evaluation and obtain user feedback on capabilities under development in order to ensure they are ready for more advanced and integrated operational evaluations." - DoD Press Release

Purple Rhombus is honored to participate in T-REX 24-2 and contribute to the Department of Defense’s effort to rapidly evaluate and transition next-generation capabilities. The WASP family of unmanned aircraft systems represents a new approach to scalable, attritable airpower—designed from the outset for affordability, manufacturability, and mission adaptability. By demonstrating these platforms, Purple Rhombus aims to validate their operational utility and accelerate their path toward deployment.
